One day (I think it was Tuesday) while I started the dishes Doug started a rousing game of hide-and-seek with the girls. This game consists of Evelynn and Doug hiding in their respective closets in our room (we have two little ones) and then Doug sneaks out and hides somewhere in the house as fast as he can. A second later Evelynn comes out and runs around the house trying to find Daddy. When he is found, Daddy lets out a HUGE roar, which makes Evelynn scream and run away back to the closet where it all starts again. It's a pretty loud and entertaining game for everyone. I get to pretend like I have no idea where daddy is, and both girls are laughing and screaming and having a ball, and Doug enjoys it a whole lot too. Eloise is a bit young to understand the concept of the game, but she was so cute anyway. She followed Evelynn around as fast as she could, roaring her soft little roar the whole time.
The next game was building a fort. Dad's are the best a building forts. The tent and tunnel are courtesy of Grandma and Papa Jacobson from several years ago, but had until recently been stored in the garage because they took up too much space. I love how old toys become new toys again with enough time between uses. :) Doug took these pictures. Eloise is getting the hang of knowing what it means to take a picture, and so her cheesy faces are the best!
Daddies are the best, aren't they? I love hearing Andrew and Rachel play!
