I Love To See The Temple
For family home evening we went to the Provo Temple grounds. Evelynn had told Doug a few days ago that she wanted to go to the temple and sing "I Am a Child of God" so we decided that was too cute to pass up. All of the flowers were out at the temple, and the new landscaping is lovely. We had to watch Evelynn closely or she would have gone head first into the fountains, but we only got marginally wet so I consider that a success. Eloise got some solid outdoors walking time, which was fun to see. She's getting pretty good at it! We had a short lesson and then just admired the beauty and watched all the other families with their kids who had the same idea for FHE wander around. Evelynn tried rolling down the hill in the back, but somehow started rolling across it or up it more often than not. All in all it was a relaxing experience, unlike how some of our FHE attempts have been.
Eloise wanted to be like her sister and play in the water.... luckily she was too short and I'm too strong.

This is her favorite way to walk. She can walk all by herself, but if she is in an unfamiliar place, she feels much safer is she can hold on to one of my fingers. Just one mind you, not the whole hand.

On a side note, Eloise had her 15 month appointment yesterday and she is doing wonderful! She has had a major growth spurt (for her). At her 12 month appointment she was in the 13th percentile for her weight and height, which was actually above normal for her (she averaged in the 9th for both in the past). This time she shot up to the 37th for her weight (22 lbs) and the 43rd for her height (30.2 inches). Dr. Neilsen was very pleased. Not that she was doing badly before, but it's always nice when a light weight decides to chunk up. Considering how much she eats, I was thinking that it was about stinking time she gained weight!

oh! the evening looked so much more serene than our 10 minutes of screaming/crying girls. Nice job, Momma!
